Mr. Matthew Scott, age 71, transitioned on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Wallace, NC.

There will be a viewing in the Westside Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Funeral service will be on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the Bristol Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 5910 Dothan Rd, Tabor City, NC. 

 He is survived by three sons: Timothy Todd, Toronto Todd, and Chuck Todd, five daughters, Cristal Scott, Hermina Gore, Carrie Gillis, Lovie Todd, and Coteara Todd; seven brothers; Odis Smith, Dr. Nathaniel Scott, Dr. James Scott, Dr. Norie Scott, Plowden Scott, Jr., Charles Scott, and Larry Dean Hickman, three sisters; Martha Scott, Julie Ann, and Rev. Gwen Wilson.
